Welcome to our Albany Strollers and Rollers wiki! This wiki has been designed as a collaboration tool for our members, and as a first step toward a stand-alone website for our organization. Albany Strollers and Rollers (AS&R) was founded by Preston Jordan and Nick Pilch in 2004 to address bicycle and pedestrian safety issues in and around Albany, California. Currently we are approximately 160-members strong. For a more detailed summary of what we do, please feel free to download the AS&R_article_from August08WT.pdf which appeared in the August 2008 issue of Wheel Truth, the monthly newsletter of one of our local sponsors, Grizzly Peak Cyclists.
Please create pages, invite other members to use the wiki, and enjoy these resources. The main purpose of the wiki is to be a resource for AS&R members to access documents and information to better become involved and informed about issues related to bicycle and pedestrian safety in Albany, California.
Separately, please visit AS&R's YahooGroups site at the following locations:

One current hot project is the Measure F Reprioritization. See Preston's heads-up email of 9/2/08:
"Hello all-
It is time to engage in the Measure F reprioritization/Bicycle Master Plan update collaboration. You had suggested using an on-line collaboration tool to facilitate this effort among interested participants, and offered to pursue identification and testing of such a service for this purpose. Now would be the time to put forward your results if you think it is workable. I need to start this effort no later than Monday of next week to meet the deadline for the September 25th Traffic and Safety Commission, so let me know what you think. If it is not possible, I am happy working through the messier medium of email.
Preston"
Below are some "help" links for pbwiki. When we no longer need these links, we'll simply click "Edit," delete the extra stuff, and then click "Save." It's that easy.
